Welcome to HR Leadership Conclave

A famous Indian philosopher once said, “Change alone is the changeless law.” But this philosopher also emphatically claimed that nothing he said was his own and he is a voice of the past. So the fact that change has kept people on their toes is not a new age phenomenon. But the pace at which it is happening as on date is unprecedented and going forward, it is only going to increase. The change is certainly shifting the ground beneath and organizations that are not cognizant of it are not just going to be non-profitable but obsolete at a rate like never before.

The change in the pace of business dynamics is leading to compelling changes in the way people are to be managed. Today’s demographics, learn-ability skills, worker expectations do not have precedence. In this context, change management is a capability that an organization has to possess. So many behemoths who failed to see the ground beneath them changing, no longer exist today. Some of the largest organizations that we see around today were formed in the last last 30 years. While the changing market dynamics is the final cause of the change phenomenon, the HR departments will have to play the role of the efficient cause. But is the HR fraternity gearing up for the role that they are uniquely positioned to play? The leadership is willing to listen to them, but do they have anything to say that can make a difference across the value chain? Is the HR fraternity incubating itself to be a key source of strategic differentiator? How are HR practices evolving? How does the new age HR professional look like?

E 18, in partnership with KPMG is organizing a HR conclave on the dynamics of change. Some of the finest minds in the industry will share their crystallized thoughts on various facets of change and performance.
